How do I properly deal with self-made cigarettes?

How can you increase the shelf life of your cigarettes?

Cigarettes can still be smoked for a very long time without creating a health hazard; let's ignore the general health hazard associated with smoking. Despite everything, you have to be aware that regardless of the long shelf life and storage possibilities (ideally airtight and protected from light), it doesn't mean that these cigarettes still taste good. As a rule, after opening the tobacco box, the contents should be consumed within a few days.

What is the most important thing I should pay attention to after making my cigarettes with an electric cigarette injector?

The better you keep your cigarettes, the longer they maintain their original properties.

Do my cigarettes have to be kept in the dark?

This is actually not a bad idea, but airtight storage is much more important than the effects of light. The point is that the cigarettes don't dry out too fast. When cigarettes dry out, the tobacco burns faster and its aroma can no longer develop when smoking.

Would that mean I should keep my self-made cigarettes in a damp place?

That could seem to be a good idea, doesn’t it? But in fact, moisture is much worse than anything else. If tobacco is exposed to excessive moisture over a long period of time even mold could appear.

How do you do it right?

As is so often the case: We are looking for the golden mean here. The point is to maintain the relative humidity of the tobacco. We don't want it to dry out and even less for mold to form due to excessively high humidity.

Tobacco feels most comfortable in a humidor. The temperature and humidity are kept constant there. But you can also do something against dry tobacco with a tried and tested home remedy: If tobacco or your self-made cigarettes have become a little too dry, you can simply put 2-3 small pieces of apple in a tobacco box (or in another airtight container) together with your self-made cigarettes cigarettes. The dry tobacco absorbs the moisture and becomes palatable again. Please remember not to leave the apple pieces in the can for longer than 12-24 hours.

How can I properly make my own cigarettes with an electric cigarette injector? Is there any trick?

Making your own cigarettes yourself is child's play. You just have to make sure that you use the right components (tobacco and tubes) and that you achieve the right tobacco density in the injection process. For this purpose the use of an electric cigarette injector greatly facilitates the work.

Which are the right “ingredients”?

You should choose good tobacco and high-quality filter tubes. If you save at the wrong end, optimal results are simply not possible.

What do I have to consider when choosing my tobacco?

The best tobacco is the one that you like best. Try out whether volume tobacco is right for you or if maybe fine-cut tobacco is your thing. Also try out the different settings of your electric cigarette machine.

Cigarette injectors can handle a lot, but if possible it is better to remove large or thick twigs from the tobacco before you make the cigarettes to avoid tearing the tube while injecting your cigarettes.

Is there a certain technique to ensure that I always succeed when I make my cigarets cigarettes myself?

With the entry-level cigarette injectors, a little practice is never wrong. There are people who give up straight away because they don't get the results they want in the very beginning. But making your own cigarettes is really not rocket science. It is very easy to use a cigarette injector to make high-quality cigarettes, which can hardly be distinguished from the industrially manufactured ones. With the premium models of cigarette injectors you have even less to care about, as the tobacco is automatically evenly distributed in the machine and automatically filled into the tube, so that you can lean back until the machine is ready and just enjoy your own cigarettes.

How much can you avoid embers falling off your self-filled cigarettes while smoking?

There are many factors that play a role in ensuring that your self-made cigarette does not lose embers when smoking and that the combustion properties are comparable to the industrially manufactured cigarettes: the relative humidity of the tobacco, the length of the tobacco strands, the density of the filling in the filter tube and of course the technology of your cigarette filling machine are the most important we can name.

How much tobacco should I use when making my own cigarettes with an electric cigarette injector?

There is a rule of thumb that states that you need about 0.7-1.0 g of tobacco per cigarette - depending on taste, personal preferences and the filter tubes used.

But it is not necessary that you now start weighing your tobacco with a precision scale. Feel your way slowly and better take a little less at the beginning until you have reached your desired filling density.

Isn't it complicated to make cigarettes so precisely?

With some cigarette injectors, everyone can do it with a little practice. With the higher-quality models, or when using a practical tobacco funnel, you will immediately notice that the portioning of the cigarettes practically occurs by itself.

Why does it matter which automatic cigarette injection machine I use to avoid embers falling down?

With some stuffing machines with spiral technology, there is a risk that when the spiral that conveys the tobacco into the tube is turned, some strands of tobacco could break off into even smaller pieces. Other machines, with the patented sliding technology, avoid this tobacco breakage and thus the possibility that small pieces of tobacco can come off while smoking. Add to this the correct filling density when setting your cigarette injector and the result is simply perfect cigarettes for your enjoyment, without compromising quality and for a much more attractive price than industrial cigarettes.
