How can I save money when using a cigarette injector?

Can you really save that much money if you make your cigarettes yourself? How should it be different?

The prices of cigarettes are constantly rising. We'll show you how much money you can save by using loose tobacco, cigarette tubes, and an electric cigarette injector. If you also have a tobacco shredder to process whole tobacco leaves, your savings increase by even more hard cash.

1. How do I calculate my savings?

Of course, the costs and savings are very different depending on how much you smoke. We often hear statements like: “I don't smoke much during the week but more at the weekend, so that I get about an average of one pack of cigarettes a day. How high are my opportunities to save costs if I make my cigarettes myself? ”We have therefore decided to take this smoking habit or smoking routine as an example.

How much do you spend monthly when you smoke factory cigarettes?

If we buy a pack of cigarettes, we can currently expect costs of around 6.50 to 7 euros, which is 200 to 240 euros a month if we consume 20 cigarettes a day (around 600 per month). If we take this calculation as a basis, we can very easily calculate how much you can save a month when using an electric cigarette injector.

How much does it cost to stuff your cigarettes yourself?

100 grams of loose tobacco cost between 5 and 15 euros, depending on the brand, quality and taste. For 600 cigarettes you need around 400 grams of tobacco and a pack of 1,000 filter tubes costs around 10 euros

If we add all that up, it will sum up 10 to 30 euros for the tobacco and 3 euros for the tubes. All in all, making your cigarettes yourself, you spend 13 to 33 euros per month.

What other costs play a role when cigarette self-making?

The savings are heavily dependent on the tobacco used and your cigarette machine. The better your cigarette injector, the less tobacco is lost and the better the burning properties of your cigarettes will be.

It becomes clear that if you make your cigarettes yourself, depending on how much you smoke, you can save a lot a year. Making cigarettes yourself is actually much cheaper than smoking regular factory cigarettes. You can quickly save 100 EUR, because you save around 0.25 EUR per cigarette. And the quality remains the same.

2. What do I do if I want to make my cigarettes myself, but at the same time want to stay true to my favorite brand?

Would you like to save cash but not forego your usual taste?

Switching to cigarette-injection is also worthwhile for you.

How much can e.g. save a Marlboro smoker?

For those who smoke a pack of Marlboro a day, for example, up to 1,825 EUR can be saved per year if you make your cigarettes yourself with a cigarette injector (as of October 2020).

The more you smokes, the more you save by using a cigarette injector. If less than one pack is smoked, the savings are correspondingly lower. Still, it is worth (and fun) making your cigarettes yourself.

What exactly would it look like in this case?

As already stated, the savings per cigarette are approx. EUR 0.25 depending on the brand. This corresponds to a saving of 5 EUR per pack. Factory cigarettes from the Marlboro brand cost EUR 0.35 per cigarette. Self-filled cigarettes with volume tobacco from Marlboro cost around 8.9 cents per cigarette. This means that when you make your cigarettes yourself, you save 26.1 cents per cigarette.

The savings per pack of 20 Marlboro are calculated as follows: pack price of 7.00 EUR minus the costs for self-filled cigarettes (self-filled: 20 x 8.9 cents = 1.78 EUR) results in a saving of 5.22 EUR.

How much can be saved here in a full year using a cigarette injector?

Every year smoking a Marlboro pack of Marlboro per day costs EUR 2,555 (365 days x EUR 7). Of course you don't want to do without the usual quality when you make your cigarettes yourself. And that's why we have taken into account the costs for high-quality Marlboro volume tobacco and high-quality Marlboro tubes in this calculation example. Smoking a pack of Marlboro per day is the equivalent of 7,300 cigarettes per year. To produce this number of cigarettes with a cigarette injector, 7.3 packs of tubes (1000 pieces each) and 23.9 cans of tobacco have to be purchased per year. Approx. 290 cigarettes can be made from a can of tobacco. Thus we would speak of an annual saving of approx. 1,825.00 EUR.

In the calculation example shown, the purchase of the cigarette injector is not yet taken into account, since the purchase costs of a cigarette injection machine can vary depending on your choice. The purchase of such a cigarette machine is also a cost factor, but if we compare it to our calculation example, the purchase of a cigarette injection machine will pay for itself after a short time.

Here everyone can decide which equipment they need and which is the right machine for them to make their cigarettes themselves.

By the way, there are both manual and automatic cigarette injection machines.

3. Then how much can you save using a tobacco shredder?

Is it possible to smoke cheaper than already shown?

Yes! Indeed! Processing tobacco leaves directly can save even more money.

How much do tobacco leaves cost?

The price for 1kg tobacco leaves is usually around 15 € per kilogram, depending on the quality and type. A box of industrially manufactured cigarettes contains a maximum of 20g of tobacco, a rule of thumb of about 0.7-1.0 grams applies per cigarette. If we now take one gram of tobacco per cigarette as a basis, you can produce the equivalent of 1,000 cigarettes for € 15 with 1 kg of tobacco leaves - this corresponds to 50 packs of 20 cigarettes each. A really great and incomparable price!

At Powerfiller-Smoking.com you can not only find the right automatic cigarette injection machine to process your fresh tobacco professionally, but you also have different tobacco shredders that differ in price, quality and performance. Save money by shredding whole tobacco leaves!

Nothing is as enjoyable as shredding tobacco leaves yourself and producing your own cigarettes completely with your cigarette injector. Nothing is so cheap and good at the same time!
